I am a survivor.

I finally left because I didn't want my daughter growing up with that as her example of love.

But leaving is the most dangerous time...and when he realized he'd lost his control over me, he tried to kill me. He was arrested, prosecuted, and found the help he needed. I never wavered in my resolve to see the case through.

The only way to break the cycle is to teach our children they deserve better and be the example.
